I was so excited, dreaming of a January full of winter hikes. Yet after the Red Mountain hike, January got away from us. The weekends did not have great conditions - either it was frigid or everything was melting so the trails were a mess - or we had late nights attending Colorado College hockey games (16th year as season ticket holders).
Since we didn't get out, I combed my archives for something to share. Don't worry, I have my archives in order, well, except the Alaskan cruise photos…
In October 2018, Adam and I used my track coaching stipend for a week-long trip to Belize and Guatemala. The price was right, so we decided to visit two new countries. This week’s newsletter is not about our time in Belize, however. Since I’m still feeling the airplane vibe from last week, I’m sharing a few photos from a short airplane ride from Ambergris Caye to Belize City. We had a midweek travel day, getting from San Pedro to Tikal in Guatemala. We wanted to ensure we were at the pickup spot in time, so we booked a flight back to the mainland.
When we got to the airport, we saw the puddle jumper. As we got on the airplane, we realized it was only Adam and I on the flight. As we were in the air, I thought, “Oh, this is what it’s like to be rich!” LOL.

That’s it for this week, short and sweet. As always, thanks for reading!
Cheers.
Beautiful images! I miss that area...
Beautiful! Looks like you had a wonderful time. And my brother scuba dives in Belize and says it is something to behold!
