Great photos, Rachel, especially the one of the lone Big Horn ram with that magnificent backdrop. Plus I had a learning experience with the tip about the thumb 👍🏻
Looks like a great hike with some amazing scenery, Rachel! I know we’ll be back to CO National Monument (hopefully soon) so I’ll have to check out some trails, since we didn’t have time previously.
The notion of translating rock formations into time on the planets always intrigues me to no end. The layering of the red rocks is wonderfully mesmerizing. The never-ending slices of the slate-like formations... wow!
Yes! Dinosaur National Monument was really good about explaining rock ages and comparing them to what else was happening on the earth. It's mind boggling!
Loved this photo collection, especially the big horn sheep. If you’re interested, I have an excellent recipe for mutton chops wellington with mushrooms.
Awesome scenes, Rachel - just beautiful.
Thanks Paul! I felt lucky to hike that trail 😍
Sounds like a great trip, very nice photos as well. And the sheep...a wonderful bonus.
The sheep were a super bonus - I love seeing wildlife (in a safe manner, lol)!
Beautiful work as always, Rachel!
Thanks Glenn 🤗

Thanks Mark! The ram was a fun surprise until it was a bit too close 😂
Beautiful landscape - reminds me of the Sedona area. Except for the bighorn sheep!
The Grand Junction area feels a lot like Sedona and/or Moab. Just gorgeous red rock formations 😍
Many a WOW, is good.
Always!

So worth it - there's a trail for everyone there.

Beautiful area! Glad you got to see the Bighorns!
Me too! ❤️
Those red rocks get me every time….love the topography out west ❤️🧡
They get me every time too. Once you get past the mountains into the desert, it’s so magical.
Yes! So much so that I told my husband I’d retire to AZ as long as it was Sedona 😏🏜️

🤣
Been there. Somewhere in the archives of my Substack is my own post about this place.
That's the post I found. When I saw your first pics and how they matched mine, I laughed. It's so photogenic!
