Oh, you captured what I consider my home state so beautifully. I lived in Colorado for 3 decades and miss it terrible. This is amazing work and I appreciate you sharing this!
The Grand Mesa! One of my favorites. I lived up there, off and on, for a few years. Not only in RV parks on the edges of it, but boondocking in my RV for weeks on end, up on top.
My Substack hasn't gotten to that point in my life yet. I think my subscribers will start seeing photos from there after the first of next year.
At present, I have only published one photo from the Mesa, here:
The 300 lakes are not a result of geology! They are reservoirs. I know of only two natural lakes on the Mesa, and one of them (the photo linked above) has been enhanced with a dam.
I seem to remember that you're one of my subscribers, so you'll see the photos when my Substack gets to that part of my saga.
Great photos, what a great trip. Bald Eagles always signal to my family that we are on the right path. Always amazing to watch. Thank you for sharing your photography!
Reminds me of places up on the Dixie Plateau in Utah, not that far away actually. Forests and hundreds of high altitude lakes. I wonder if the two are geologically related?
Beautiful as always. Love the third shot and the final B&W one!
Thanks Glenn! Those two shots are my favorite too ❤️

Thank you, Lori! I can only imagine how much you miss it. I love it here!

Thanks Shital! I appreciate it 🤗

Heck yeah! Thanks for the info! What a fantastic place to live for a few years - so much boondocking!
Lovely photos. You should see Grand Mesa in the fall!
That's all I could think about! There were SO many aspen trees!

Well now I'm off to investigate Dixie Plateau 😂
Look up the Aquarius Plateau! It's part of the Dixie NF upland NE of Bryce NP!
