Thanks! We gave those rams a WIDE berth. The other people on the trail were much closer than us. I have a great shot of all the other people taking pictures of the rams, but didn't have enough newsletter space for it 😂
I struggle with "favorite". Glacier is not Yosemite, is not Mount Rainier, is not Grand Canyon, is not Isle Royal, etc. The world is incredibly diverse and beautiful everywhere you look. Enjoy. Love your writing.
Well, YNP will always be my favorite, but Rachel is dead right when she says the parks are being loved to death. That's why my second most favorite, superb in grandeur, stunning vistas and few crowds is GBNP! Go there in early autumn. KCNP is pretty nice too- the Range of Light.
When we visited Yosemite, we had to choose between KC and Sequoia - and chose Sequoia. Haven't been to Kings Canyon or Great Basin, but they are certainly on the list!
A hiker in Wetern Washington was killed a few years back by a ram. And with that news, I'll say that the b/w's are my favorite. They give the contrasts a cloud and land and sky a drama that the colors don't exhibit. Yes, one of your edits is harsh, but IMO it's worth exploring the b/w processing a bit more. I personally appreciate the drama they bring forth.
I love that monochrome shot of Angel's Wing! Good thing the ram didn't go after you, eh?

Beautiful, glacier is one of my favorite NPs. And I agree100%. Hiking at 5000ft is so much easier than 11,000 ft.
Glacier was AMAZING! It's currently my favorite, but I need to get to Yosemite again to make sure 😍

Fair enough! Thanks Paul 🫶🏻

Thanks Mark!
Without question Glacier is our favorite National Park
I loved it so much!
Lovely mountain scenes. And that deer was such a nice capture.
Thank you! 🫶🏻
