There is also a section called Sharptail, which is adjacent, but is for hikers and horses only. There is a connecting trail that leads up to, or down from, Indian Creek. I used to ride my pony through here. Stunning place.
It's always great to hear that from a local. I know most people that subscribe to my newsletter are from areas outside of Colorado, so I quite enjoy sharing how awesome the Springs area is 😍
looks like a great hike, all shots made me linger, thanks.
Thanks Jon!
If you ever get to Douglas County, try this area, Swallowtail. https://www.douglas.co.us/open-space-natural-resources/properties/nelson-ranch-open-space-and-swallowtail-trail/

Perfect, thank you! I'm sure Adam wants to bike up there, so why not make a day of it ❤️
Ah, looks like that's close to Roxborough State Park which I also have yet to visit!
Nice trees and views. And what a cooperative storm system, waiting until you finished your hike before providing some cloud drama!
Right? 😂 Thank you!
What a wonderful collection of photos, I love how you captured the contrast of the changing weather over the landscape. It looks a beautiful trail.
Thanks, Sarah! Definitely one of those Colorado weather days. Don't like it? Just wait another 15 minutes!
I've hiked that trail and the open space scenery, the sweeping vistas are striking. It's so nice to see your perspective on our local attractions.
